Organization:
Each lesson plan will be carefully constructed in detail so the students can cover as much material as possible for the allotted time each day while still comprehending the material. Since this is a history class, there may be more time with teacher instructed learning (example: lecture and discussion) but there will also be plenty of time for independent and group work.
*For more information about group work, please see the Cooperative Learning tab located to the right of the page.

Classroom Layout:
Below is an example of a normal day's setup in the classroom. Since more time in my class will involve teacher-centered learning, the students will sit individually until group work is presented to them. The layout is subject to change on discussion days. To view the discussion day's layout please view the Cooperative Learning tab to the right of the screen.classroom setup.jpg

Absences:
When a student returns from an absence it is the student's responsibility to check and see if they have missed any assignments. If the student did miss an assignment then he/she may check the "Missed Assignments" folder located by the entrance of the classroom containing any possible missed assignments. The student is then to complete the assignment and turn it in to the "Completed Assignments" box located on the my desk.
